2015 SHOW REPORT
Hosted by China Flower Association and organized by Intex Shanghai, the 17th Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai, the largest official trade show in Chinese horticulture, floriculture and garden field was successfully held from Apr. 22-24, 2015 in Shanghai New International Expo Center.
To enhance Hortiflorexpo’s world reputation, after years of continuous efforts, Hortiflorexpo started to cooperate with IPM, a world famous plant exhibition in 2012 and changed its name from “Hortiflorexpo China” into “Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai” (when it is in Beijing, its name will be “Hortiflorexpo IPM Beijing”). This year, we move Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai to Hall N1 and N2 of SNIEC, both halls are on the 1st floor and column free，a better venue than that of 2013. With more reasonable venue layout and better venue usage rate, Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai has provided a better platform for both exhibitors and visitors to communicate with one another and left them a refreshing impression.
1. 45.46% Bigger than 2013 Edition in Shanghai with More Foreign Exhibitors
The total area of the 17th Hortiflorexpo IPM Shanghai reached 25000sqm. 612 well-known companies from 27 countries and regions such as Holland, Germany, France, Belgium, Denmark, USA, Ecuador, Sweden, Italy, Israel, Spain, UK, Austria, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, India, Poland, Russia, Australia, Kenya, Estonia, Norway, Singapore, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan Province and Chinese Mainland exhibited and among which 152 are foreign companies.
The Net sales space reached 11824sqm which is 45.46% bigger than 2013. Pavilions from Holland, Germany, France, Ecuador, Korea and Taiwan also participated. The-3-day-exhibition has altogether attracted 23841 visitors from 48 countries and regions among which 19280 are professionals.
Even though we had reserved bigger space for Holland Pavilion, there are still some Holland companies out of 26 had to be moved out of Holland pavilion due to limited space.
Thanks to joint efforts of both Essen and us, Expoflores, for the first time organized 17 Ecuadorean companies to exhibit. Together with other Ecuadorean companies, we have altogether 22 exhibitors from Ecuador.
Moreover, encouraged by Essen, Korea Agricultural Machinery Industry Cooperative has brought us a Korean pavilion of 9 Korean companies to show Greenhouse, pergola, shading, temperature controller, irrigation, wire cable, etc.
After we join hands with IPM, the world biggest plant exhibition, Messe Essen, the organizer of IPM has brought us a German Pavilion of 16 German companies as well as an international pavilion made of 12 flower and horticultural companies coming from different parts of the world including Step Systems specialized in soil, water, climate measurement technology, Giorgio Tesi, one of the biggest ornamental plant nurseries in Europe, Terracult a famous peat moss substrates manufacturer, Jungpflanzen Gruenewald, a professional breeder, producer and wholesaler of seedlings, bedding plants and balcony plants, EMAK, a world renouned garden machinery manufacturer, etc.
Germany Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture has organize 14 German famous companies among which there are well-know Selecta, professional Rhododendron producer, Lehei, manufacturer of fine tools and pots, Zimex, producer of peat and moss, Gregor Ziegler, Terracult, Mikskaar, etc.
10 companies from all corners of the world which made up of a small international pavilion have attracted lots of attention. They are famous breeders, KP Holland, Begonien Rieger; Urbinati, top horticultural facility producer; Valbrenta,largest producer of insecticide in Russia; Vaighai,largest Coco peat substrates exporter in India; Caly Flora, Kenya cut flower importer and exporter and Finca Hermosa,Spanish famous Oliver nursery, etc.
French pavilion still gave prominence to flower industry in Loire to present Sapho’s small trees, climbers and shrubs, Florenctaise’s substrates, Euroflor’s flower seeds for garden use, Dosatron’s Hydrodynamic Fertigation device, etc.
Geographically speaking, as far as Chinese Mainland is concerned, exhibitors were from most provinces and regions across the country. Apart from East China, 44% domestic exhibitors were from South China, North China, Central China, South West, North East and North West.
